melissachristinesparks: I’ll take a look and let you know. On the list.

angbinmarist: I agree entirely! I’ll definitely look more outside Europe and North America in upcoming reviews - keep an eye out for exciting far-flung locales!

Anonymous: Translated from Ukrainian, this asks, “and why no high-speed tram to troeschyne??”, so I’m guessing this has to do with my review of Igor Skliarevsky’s map of Kiev. To be honest, I have no idea about any omissions or errors in Igor’s map - it just looks fantastic.

et-sons: Quite a few maps that I’ve already reviewed combine several different rail modes. For example, Barcelona’s map shows subway, commuter rail, gondola and funicular; Paris has Metro, RER, tram and funicular. It’s more unusual to show rail and bus services together on one map because they generally have different requirements. The new exception to this rule is BRT (bus rapid transit), which is often shown in a similar manner to other rapid transit services - witness the LA Metro map which shows the two BRT lines (Orange and Silver) on the map along with all the rail lines.

Phew! All caught up with mail from over the holidays! Next!
