Anonymous #2: To be honest, my background isn’t in transportation at all. I’m a graphic designer who just happens to have a keen interest in transit maps as a specialised field of information design. I do also work as a graphic designer for a multinational infrastructure company, but I had no experience in those matters before I worked there - my design background is in advertising agencies and design studios.

ricc-chan: Ah yes, the horizontal/vertical only Madrid map - not even a single 45-degree angle! Well worth deeper examination.
